Seong-Hae Goldstein

S didn't ask for this I just wanted to draw a close up of Seong-Hae, so(it's been a pretty long time since I did this which is why I'm explaining) this is Sylvia's toddler brother. Li talker Seong-Hae's parents into dressing him in his sister's baby clothes which might be why he likes wearing the dresses his daddy made for him. He's also in rain boots & a hoody jacket that I think almost ended up a rain coat, I'm tempted to give him one of those phone bracelets young children have(my younger step sister has one that my dad & stepmom have her put on when she's out of the house with her friends & their parents or something) but I'm not sure & that feels a little cheaty as I can imagen him being used as a radio for Sylvia & Bex.


Seong-Hae's name comes from the Korean words for "star" & "ocean/sea" so at best star ocean or sea of stars. I would have called him Hae-Seong but that translates to sea star & I was going for a sea of stars not a creature that lives in the sea.(Does this make sense? It's 5am & I'm going to bed after posting this) Given this it gave Lee the idea to have a bunch of stars surround his birthmark that like the rest of his family(starting with Lee's dad) get tattoos to hide it, Sylvia has a bunch of hearts hiding her's. Star(I got tired of copy/pasting his name because I can't remember how to spell it) has a little star shaped beauty mark near the end of his right eye, said star mark made his mom panic & see if anyone in his family had it.(Given they have to hide their birthmarks it's kind of reasonable) Star also has an odd habit of staring into space & wandering off with both some times mixing which lead to his mom putting him on a baby leash. He doesn't have highlights in his hair that his mom, sister, cousin & aunt(Li) have but I'm kind of imagining they'll likely be red.

Star is a quiet & curious toddler, for reasons unknown Lee doesn't leave him with a babysitter or at a daycare -though given everything it's likely due to paranoia- as he takes Star to school with him.(He teaches at the school that caused his paranoia) Star seems to be a fairly smart baby as he manages to get out of his mom's sight when no one is watching & wander all the way to his sister's detention room. It's unknown why he isn't caught by the Cleaners though it might be due to being quiet, his family's pet is the school mascot(Red Tatzelwurm), not being seen as a threat due to being a baby or the fact the people they work for know Lee will go as far as trying torching the building again. Due to this Bex & Sylvia(though likely mostly Bex) use him as a way to help(I can't remember what I was going to add to this) such as when Sylvia has to stay in the detention room.


Star inherits a lot from his mom as did his sister but like his dad & sister as babies he likes to cuddle, he likes animals as he can be found playing with his dad's cats or sitting near Red. For some reason he likes trying to put Li's snake helmet on, this likely lead to Li getting him a baby bike helmet made to look like it much to Lee's dismay.


Geez I'm babbling again, then again I'll likely be doing the same when I finish Sylvia's ref
